The late Mr George Ishiyama founded the Ishiyama Foundation based in San Fransisco, USA. Mr Ishiyama had business interests in Australia from the 1960s until his passing in 2003. He contributed substantial funds to the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition before 2003. On behalf of the ACVC committee, President Cris Dall’Osto sought sponsorship from the trustees of the Ishiyama Foundation
