Townsville City Council Funding approved

Wonderful News!

Once again the the Townsville City Council  has approved our 3-year Partnership Grant Application for an amount of $10,000 per year for the next three years, together with a waiver of venue hire at the Civic Theatre. This is an increase of $1000 to cover administration costs.   The overall support from the Townsville City Council is a token of confidence in the work done by many people over the past 30+ years in developing the significance and prestige of this event, one that is quite unique for a regional centre.

We received numerous letters of support for our application and would like to thank the following people – Professor Larry Sitsky AO, Donald Hazelwood OBE, Valerie Dickson, Maryleigh Hand, Kevin Price, and Michelle McEwan.

Dates have been confirmed with the Townsville Civic Theatre for the following years: 2016  July 21 – 27 / 2017 July 17 – 23
